ratings we've given our futon mattresses in order to help you with your
purchase. They are based on our own staff's testing and the feedback we've
received from customers. The rating categories are explained in more detail
below.
Rating Details
As
a Couch
A simple sit-and-compare test based on which futon mattress felt more
comfortable and supportive in the couch position.
As
a Bed
Another simple lay-and-compare test based on which futon mattress felt
more comfortable and supportive when in the bed position.
Firmness
A comparison based on the softness of the futon mattress. Fewer stars
means a softer, more sink-in feel. More stars mean a firmer, tighter feel.
Durability
A measure of approximately how long the futon mattress will last. As a
general rule, the Modern Cotton & Foam Futons will last about 5 years
with daily use; the Hi-Tech Foam Mattresses will last 10+ years.
