Receiving WebFuton.com Packages

Anytime an item is shipped there is a chance that it might be damaged in transit. We work very hard to ensure that this does not happen, but it does occasionally. Follow the instructions below in case of a damaged package and report the damage to us at 1-877-932-3886 or at webmaster@webfuton.com.

Customer's Responsibility for Deliveries

  1. Inspect the package before signing for it

    Do not sign the delivery notice before inspecting the box. Your signature is legally binding and can produce claim resolution problems if there is any damage.

  2. If there is visible damage to the product, refuse delivery.

    If you notice upon inspection visible damage to the item -- dirt on a mattress; cracked or dented wood on a futon frame -- refuse the delivery on these grounds. The item will then be returned to us. Notify us as soon as possible of the problem and we will get a replacement out to you ASAP.

    If the item has been left at your house without a signature with visible damage, immediately call the shipper (UPS: 800-742-5877; FedEx 800-463-3339) and tell them a damaged package was left without a signature and that you wish to refuse the delivery. They will come to your house and remove the package.

  3. If there is hidden damage discovered when the item is unpacked, immediately let us know.

    Sometimes a package will look fine on the outside but conceal hidden damage to the contents. If this is the case, let us know immediately which part(s) have damaged and what the damage is.

    Save all the packaging materials and boxes that the shipment arrived in. We will file a damage claim on the item and get you a replacement. It is possible that the shipper might want to collect the original damaged items and the packaging for their inspection.

  4. Packages must be opened and inspected as soon as possible.

    In the case of hidden damage, packages should be opened and inspected as soon as possible. If there is a delay between the date of receipt and the report of shipping damage, WebFuton.com reserves the right to approve or deny any damage claims of a package that is in your care for a period of time un-opened.

  5. If you have any questions or concerns about the delivery leave the package as is and contact us.
